Jo and Steve had a gorgeous wedding on Saturday, with a boat trip up the River Dart followed by a brilliantly relaxed ceremony at Greenway House, Agatha Christie's holiday home, which is now managed by the National Trust. Jo and Steve strolled up the hill through the woods together, before enjoying drinks outside the house, along with their guests. It was such a lovely afternoon, with Joanna and team at Greenway House doing a really excellent job of looking after everyone (including giving me a much welcomed lift back up the hill at the end of the day... thank you!). As a side note, all weddings in future should please be accessorised with a Miniature Schnauzer wearing a pink flower. Thank you.

Just the tiniest little peek at Kate and Mike's wedding yesterday at Tunnels Beaches, Ilfracombe. I love Tunnels Beaches - there is something quite magical about hearing the waves crashing during the wedding vows, and there is such a relaxed and enjoyable feel to the day. The staff were wonderful as always and it was a brilliant celebration for Kate and Mike and all their guests. There was also some of the best dance floor action I have seen all year, but I'll save that for a longer blog post, it's definitely worth waiting for! Congratulations both of you!

It may have been a drizzly, grey day, but that didn't do a thing to dampen anyone's spirits at yesterday's wonderful River Cottage wedding. Huge congratulations to Emma and Paul, such a wonderfully relaxed and lovely couple - never mind that it was wet outside, we just squished all the guests into the farmhouse instead and had a brilliantly cosy ceremony in there. The welly wanging refused to be rained into submission and The Children of the Wedding had the best fun ever, running around in the mud, exploring the farm and waving at the ducks, busy splashing away in their own little puddles. Being River Cottage, the food was, of course, pretty spectacular, and it was great to hear Head Chef Gelf introducing the meal beforehand. His description of River Cottage's black pudding sounded so exciting and delicious that I was almost tempted to try it*. It was a lovely, intimate, laid back celebration that was clearly hugely enjoyed by everyone there and a real joy for me to photograph. Here is a little peek at Emma and Paul's lovely day.
*...almost, but not quite, being a non-meat eater.

Before I take a pause for some holiday time with my family, here is a tiny peek at my final wedding of these past few weeks. Aoife and Dan had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony yesterday, at the lovely Trevenna Barns in Cornwall. They said their vows underneath this sycamore tree, with the wind rustling through the leaves and beautiful views across the Cornish hills. It was all rather magical, and I very much look forward to sharing some more of their lovely wedding images. For now, here is one quick look, and I must sign out and prepare for my holiday and (hopefully) a bit of French sunshine... I'll be back later in August, have a wonderful couple of weeks in the meantime!

Here is just one little tiny peep at Saturday's gorgeous wedding at Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe. This shot of Sarah and Dean really made me smile. Heading down to the beach and getting some lovely, romantic, sunset portraits is always really nice to do, and genuinely is a lovely and romantic thing to do on your wedding day. However, it can also be really tricky to gather up a large dress with a hoop structure underneath, the sea can be really, really cold on your bare feet, and the whole thing can become a bit of a race against time when the sun is heading for some low clouds on the horizon. Therefore, this particular image is the one that I am going to show you today - Sarah and Dean, trying to work out how to get hold of the dress, Dean wincing at the cold sea water and the sharp pebbles, both bending over in hysterics! The rest of the lovely, romantic, sunset images will have to wait until a later blog post! Congratulations both of you, it was a wonderful day by the sea and I can't wait to show you the rest of the images.

Maunsel House is such a unique wedding venue, and Scarlett and Will are a brilliantly unique and quirky couple, so it was the perfect combination! Their wonderful wedding day celebrations had an enchanted woodland theme, which just worked so well. From Scarlett's show-stopping Claire Pettibone dress, to the incredible enchanted tree cake and the gorgeous woodland themed floral arrangements, everything was absolutely wonderful, from start to finish. I loved Scarlett and Will's Fairy Favour Tree, filled with enchanted bottles for the guests to sample. It was a brilliant day to photograph, so much fun and a real joy to be a part of. Here is a little look at their images:
